Seminar Details

The Crime Prevention Throgh Community Engagement Seminar is a unique crime prevention training program. It is not a passive clasroom seminar but is instead an interactive participatory crime prevention training forum. Building and maintaining enthusiasm for successful community crime prevention initiatives is the central theme of this seminar.

What is Crime Prevention Through Community Engagement Seminar
While the initial response to law enforcement agencies' crime prevention programs or initiatives is often positive, it is frequently difficult to sustain community enthusiasm and support. Barring a series of newsworthy criminal incidents, a communities' appetite for crime prevention programs can easily wane or diminish. It is not unusual for worthwhile crime prevention programs to languish or fail due to a lack of active community support.

The Crime Prevention Through Community Engagement Seminar will provide innovative guidance on how to organize and implement crime prevention programs with a discernable, lasting result. Based upon ten principles of implementation, Crime Prevention Through Community Engagement Seminar provides proven templates and formulas on how to develop and sustain community support for crime prevention programs. Seminar participants will receive recommendations and guidance on how to effectively "sell" crime prevention to the community.
